Ghost in the Machine

“Ghost in the Machine” is a music video inspired by the ancient Taoist parable The Butterfly Dream by Zhuangzi. My interpretation blends that timeless question of identity with a modern, sci-fi influence drawn from Hulu’s Alien Earth. In this version, a girl’s consciousness is downloaded into a synthetic body. She struggles to discern whether she is truly the person she remembers, merely a dream of that person, or nothing more than the memory itself.
