The original is a 35mm film portrait of my friend Jeremy taken through an old screen door of my rundown fixer-upper apt in Portland Me. I had it drum scanned @ 8000ppi which is insane resolution, going for a grungy David Fincher look
I used Photoshop's Beta ai generative fill to extend it. I was originally trying to make more of the exterior of the building as a cutaway so you'd see into neighbors' apartments, but Photoshop took it in a different direction I didn't even ask for the hand, Ps ai seems to work better without a prompt w generative fill.
